NetFoundry Offers Free Cloud Network to Critical Services

By Ken Briodagh
March 31, 2020

In response to widespread physical distancing measures that will slow the spread of COVID-19, NetFoundry has announced the intention to provide essential services with networking for remote staff.

The company said it is offering charitable organizations, schools, universities, hospitals, medical professionals and law enforcement agencies complimentary use of their Cloud Native Networking Platform for at least three months.

“In the current climate it is more important than ever to keep vital services connected throughout this trying time,” said Galeal Zino, CEO and Founder, NetFoundry. “We want to help by supporting critical IT infrastructures and enable them to stay securely connected with colleagues across the globe.”

He said that distancing requirements mean that remote offices often are connected by nothing more secure than Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnels. CISA has already warned businesses of the security risks incurred by remote workers across VPNs.

With NetFoundry, according to the company, IT administrators have more visibility and control of the entire network, while users benefit from so-called “Zero Trust” security end-to-end.

Shawn Campion, CEO of Integro Technologies, which has used the NetFoundry platform for IoT and Edge Networking and is now using the platform for remote workers, said, “I am very grateful we purchased NetFoundry (VPN) software in January. We were able to configure and activate our entire staff of 45+ people for remote access to various on premise local workstations and servers in less than 2 hours with a range of permissions per users and/or group."
