Imprivata Introduces Cloud Platform for Healthcare Supported by Microsoft

In a recent release, Imprivata, a healthcare IT security company, announced that it will create an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Cloud Platform for healthcare in collaboration with Microsoft. The platform reportedly will be anchored by Imprivata’s solution portfolio and Microsoft’s cloud identity platform Azure Active Directory. The companies will seek to address the unique challenges that healthcare customers face along the digital transformation journey.

As the first phase of the collaboration, Imprivata recently launched Healthcare Seamless SSO, enterprise single sign-on into on all shared clinical workstations and mobile devices.

Healthcare Seamless SSO seeks to eliminate the need for clinical and non-clinical Microsoft users to repeatedly type usernames and passwords to access any programs and applications. It is designed to be used with all types of applications and save care providers 45 minutes every shift, improving satisfaction levels, and driving EMR adoption.
